I’m currently the second half to my HNLP Practitioner Certification here in Perth with a great team of devoted students. We have finished up the power of the presuppositions of language. Boy were they blown away by the power and necessity of knowing how to distinguish how someone thinks through the presuppositions inherent in another’s language.
Because language is a symbol of how we think the language provides us with a window to truly understand another at the deepest levels and acts as a tool to help another begun un-stuck through simple questions that unravels the illusion and provides solution in thinking therefore emotions. I just finished a amazing lecture here in Perth at the Subi Arts Center which is a center for the performing arts here in Western Australia and did a demo of the power of one of the processes I created years ago called the Memory Resolution Techniques™ . The gentleman I picked from the audience had a event from his past that was traumatizing to him that he had carried it with him for 40 years with no resolution and continuous pain. I asked him before we started the process how this event had affected his life and he said it had over shadowed every aspect of his life. He had shut himself off from his emotions, destroyed his relationships and basically made him an emotional cripple.
This process takes about 5 to 8 minutes to facilitate and that’s it. I began the process and the audience could see the stress leaving his body and his demeanor softening. After about 5 minutes I knew he was complete. I asked him how he was feeling and he said. I can’t see the memory anymore nor can I feel any feeling about the event. Then said I feel this bubble of joy rising up in my chest that is pure joy. And big smile spread across his face. He a said: I actually feel happy.
I just love the power of this work and only dram that everyone will wake up to the possibility of what they can do for others and themselves.

I’m still here in Australia teaching and just finished a two intensive on teaching about the power of language, so I desired to keep expanding upon the use of language with a few more distinctions about the power of how we speak and what it reveals about the way we think and therefore behave.
During the training I became fascinated by how many people spoke in a linguistic term called Universal Quantifiers. Some examples of universal Quantifiers are “all the time, everyone, no one, every time, always etc. These word choices literally lock our thinking into absolutes and causes the false experience that something is an absolute constant. Universal Quantifiers are linguistic distortions which produce limitations in rational thinking and therefore possibilities. When we speak to what truly is rather than extremes and it will free up our ability to think outside the box of our experiences.
One of the most important aspects for the success of an entrepreneur is the ability to increase our People Intelligence through developing our relationships skills. The foundation to our relationships is our skill at the Conversation. Below are a few tips to help guide you in your conversations. When you follow the outline below your conversations will transform, your relationships will deepen and your success will be assured
Outline for the Authentic Conversation
Know your outcome for your conversation. To create the greatest influence in your conversation, apply the following intentions:
Intend to enhance learning and understanding through the conversation.
Be authentic with yourself and others.
Be honest. To be honest means to disclose with good intentions, both to yourself and others.
Intend to empower and enrich the relationship with everyone present.
Listen for what is not being said.
Be fully present, with genuine interest to notice how the whole person is responding.
Put aside the tendency to be liked or make another feel liked. Use your conversations as a vehicle to evolve yourself and the relationships you are in.
Identify your contribution to the issue of the conversation and state your desire to resolve the issue.
Clarify your partner’s views and be committed to understand.
Acknowledge how you can understand how they can feel that way.
Acknowledge what has been learned. Clarify where you both are now. Ask for any additional conversation. State what the new agreement is now.
Create a commitment as to how to hold each other accountable to the agreement.
