Does anyone have Preverbal Memories?
Does anyone have preverbal memories? I remember standing in my crib and holding onto the bars of the crib and thinking, ‘Oh, my god – she forgot!’ About my mom – meaning our soul commitment and being terrified that she forgot. At some level of your memories you have made a common tract with your parents and they loved you so much and probably the more tortured their lives were the more they loved you. The way you know that you’re you is by the internal representations you carry in your nervous system, your pictures, sounds and feelings of your past. If you were all isolated in a flotation tank and I was feeding you through a feed tube, you had no outside stimulation, how would you know you were you? Only by your memories. And your memories are represented by your internal pictures, the remembered sounds and the feelings those pictures and sounds evoke. If that’s the only way you knew that you were you and you were able to shift those pictures, sounds and feelings, would your past be different? Those pictures, sounds and feelings are the construction of the filters that you perceive your world through. If you could change the emotional impact of those pictures, sounds and feelings, would you filter your reality differently and then would your response be different? That’s where we’re going tomorrow because did you know that the subconscious mind does not know the difference between vivid, sensory, specific imagination and reality? Have you ever gone to a movie and terrified yourself? Have you ever gone to a movie and just wept and wept? You’re watching plastic on a screen with images and you have all these associated emotions and you’re totally into it. It’s real to you. We do the same thing in here. We run the movie, we hear the sound track, and we go through the emotional states. When this shifts, everything shifts. This is when NLP becomes so powerful because it works with changing the internal representations. When the internal representations change the client changes.
I’m going to read you something. In order to intelligently operate the law of consciousness it is necessary to understand the relationship between the conscious and subconscious. The conscious is personal, selective. The subconscious is impersonal, non-selective. The conscious is the realm of affect. The subconscious is the realm of cause. These two aspects are the male and female divisions of consciousness. The conscious mind is male. The subconscious mind is female. The conscious generates ideas, impresses and impregnates these ideas on the subconscious. The subconscious receives the ideas, gives form and expression to them. By this law of first conceiving an idea and then impressing the idea conceived on the subconscious all things evolve out of consciousness and without this sequence there is not anything made that is made. The conscious impresses the subconscious while the subconscious expresses all that is impressed upon it. The subconscious does not originate ideas but accepts as truth those which the conscious mind feels to be true, and, in a way known only to itself, objectifies the accepted ideas. Therefore through his and her power to imagine and feel in his and her freedom to choose the idea, man and woman will entertain, man and woman has control over all of creation. Control of the subconscious is accomplished through control of your thoughts and your feelings. The mechanism of creation is hidden in the very depth of the subconscious mind, the female aspect or womb of creation. The subconscious transcends reason and is independent of induction. This is important. It contemplates a feeling as a fact, existing within itself, and on this assumption, proceeds to give expression to it. The creative process begins with an idea and its cycle runs its course as feeling and ends in action. Ideas are impressed on the subconscious through the medium of emotion, feeling. No idea can be impressed on the subconscious until it is felt but once felt, be it good, be it bad, be it indifferent, it must be expressed, regardless of the evidence in front of you. The evidence in front of you is simply the outpicturing of what has been habitually dwelt upon in the past. What you get to do now is focus the mind on where you are going. Language it, imagine it, feel it to be true, regardless of the evidence, and the subconscious must give expression to it.
I remember my good friend Roger. He was in outcome, really languaging an outcome to sell his business. It didn’t sell. He did everything, mind mapped every night, really in emotional states. Didn’t sell. There is a new opportunity for that now. Things are happening in that arena now. He set the seed, he planted it in his subconscious. When the correct, appropriate time was here, it began to sprout. Your job is to plant the seeds. Be unattached to what actually becomes produced. Choose it, feel it to be real and surrender. And things happen in a most magical and unexpected way.
So keeping your eyes closed, just allowing yourself to be in a deep state of concentration, what I am suggesting to your subconscious mind is that all the things you have seen, felt, heard and learned today will integrate themselves in the very deepest level in your dream states tonight. You may remember your dreams. Your dreams will promote a deep, sound sleep. And as you dream your dreams of healing, allowing your subconscious mind to work with your higher self to remove the blockages that have stood between you and your full expression of who you’re choosing to be in your ancestral line. Allowing all this to happen naturally and automatically in your dream states tonight. When you awaken tomorrow morning the world will look different, feel different, sound different. And your mind will be open and aware of the possibilities that lie before you. Take three deep integrative breaths and as you continue your last two breaths, remember your language tonight. Speak in outcome. Speak toward. Speak in language of empowerment. Eliminate want, need, try and I don’t know.
